Tragedy was averted today
June 22nd in Rivers state after a plane operated by Air Peace airline, overshot
the runway at the Port Harcourt International airport and landed inside
the bush.
Visibility in the airport
was quite poor as it was raining heavily when the plane arrived for
landing.
According to one of the
passengers on board, the incident occurred as the plane was landing at the
airport. The plane came to a halt some 200 meters inside the bush by the
runway. The passengers have been evacuated and driven to the arrival area.
